Add Card Stack as an Option Instead of Random Dice Rolls
Keeping in mind this would only be an option and regular dice rolls would be the standard. This comes from an older version of PlayCatan. Basically, instead of randomly rolling 1/36 every time the software chooses one of those 36 cards and when the 36 cards are gone it resets. However, 6 cards are removed so there is a little bit of randomness. This results in a more normal distribution of rolls and no games where "11" is rolled 15 times resulting in a silly game.

Matias MergedI agree with Settle Up. That is not how "random" works. Settlers of Catan is an opportunistic game. It's not a game where you can "figure it out" and guarantee a victory by outsmarting your opponents. It's a game of optimizing your chances and exploiting them when the dice is in your favour.

Alex BruskiSo, if you are on a 2 or 12 hex there is a 1-in-6 chance that you won't ever see it rolled in 30 rolls? 1 in 36 chance it won't roll in 60 turns. Why remove 6 cards, that doesn't make sense. It would make more sense to make it a 42 card deck and add six randomly chosen numbers to the set for each reshuffle of the deck.

AlexInAuburnThe balanced dice setting is a card stack, it just has a reshuffle when there are 12 cards left in the deck to make it less predictable.
