Longest Road Bug: Explained Better?
The issue with longest road awarding the +2 VP inconsistently occurs when the player with the longest road loses it by getting their road length cut by a settlement being built AND there is another player's qualifying road that takes the crown. I believe the issue is the how and when the program checks for awarding longest road. When this happened in my game, and then the original player retook possession of the longest road title, was re-awarded the +2 VP, but I was still kept my awarded +2 VP. I would upload more screenshots, but only one is allowed.
Edit: This thread now includes the road counting bug as well, where the longest road path is being ignored and counted incorrectly. -Austin

Stroom MergedPlayer A has 5 roads. Player B builds in the middle of that road. No-one has a 5+ length road anymore but player A still seems to have the longest road.
Also in cases where the longest road switches hands during this cut-off, the longest road indicator does not seem to get removed from that player unless the player who has the longest road NOW, extends his road. -

None A. None MergedI believe the rules state that the player that holds the longest road keeps the longest road until it is taken from them by another player getting more roads not just tying for longest road.

John MergedI've seen this happen. It even still has the bot (and my player) showing longest road on the win screen. I believe it happens when you cut off longest road so no one has longest road anymore (it fails to remove the flag from that player)

AlexInAuburn MergedHave not seen that one before... do you have any recollection of how the longest road was achieved by DHS#0035? Maybe he achieved it using a single road build, or by using a road building card, maybe when greens road was interrupted by black?

John MergedIs this new? I added two more road segments and instead of calculating my road as 11 (going up to the top of the map) it calculated my road length as 10 (going around the 2 brick). This is a bug.

Marina Dunets MergedI (black player) broke the longest road of red player, his VP were kept (although his longest road became 4 pieces only). Then blue player built the road longer - 5 pieces and got 2 VP for this. But VPs of red player remained the same: two players had the longest road at the same time till the end of the game!

John MergedBlue had longest road (5) taken by orange (7). I had built 5 segments an as expected didn't have LR. Blue built a settlement splitting the road, and as expected orange retained longest road (5). I added a 4th road segment to my upper road and it handed me longest road !? (WRONG). Even with my 5 segment road I shouldn't have it.

ANXPARA MergedA loop with 2 more individual roads coming out of it does not produce an 8-long road. It produces at most a 7-segment-long road.
If you try to travel from the first jutting road to the second one, you won't be able to make it utilize all 6 roads. At least one can't be included. -

Even though the longest road was split up with a settlement and someone else took over longest road... the person who had the longest road BEFORE the settlement was built kept the longest road badge and kept the 2 additional VP despite not having the longest road. There were two players who had the longest road "badge"

Trash Developer MergedJust so you're aware - even if their code was calculating the road length correctly (it's not), your road length would be 14 here and not 15. In order to do a full loop of the circle you'd have to count your road on 6-4 wheat/brick twice, which is equally invalid.

Loving the site, and the game. Would like to report a bug.
In the previous game this happened where black had longest route and got cut off by green. Afaik the longest route should be lost when this happens but black kept the 2 VPs. Black also kept the 2 VPs for longest route after being overtaken in longest route. This resulted in 2 players being awarded longest route.
This is not just an ingame display bug, the postgame stats menu also showed black at 8 points whilst he should onl -
