Tournament Suggestion

It would be nice to see Ladder and non-Ladder games, and the Ladder games proceed to the tournament and perhaps an award of founder privileges or whathaveyou as the current tournament suggestion has.

8 hours or whatever the tournament listed, is a long time, I wonder if there is a way to have a tournament via ladder matches or opt-in to rankings rather than parking in front of screen for so long.

Perhaps turns can be much shorter durations? The only caution would be if players are not responding to trades as a tactic to draw out someone's timer so they don't complete their turns... that said one could adapt to this tactic by putting out multiple trades quickly at the start of the turn I guess.
