Unlimited Mode
Hello me and my friends were playing the Lord of the Rings Map. We set the VP to 20 and we all realized we had a problem. There was no way for us to win the game. The cards ran out, the dev cards ran out, and we couldn't build anymore. This was really sad as we all spent a couple hours just to have no resolution. I was wondering, why is there no way to have a game where you can build as much as you want and draw as many cards as you want. It would be almost like a creative mode. I think it would be really fun.

MikeAgreed, we should be able to have an option for unlimited bank cards/development cards & unlimited road/settlement/city supply.

KevinAdding the option for unlimited resources should be an option at the start of the game. It becomes a problem when you enter the 7-8 realm. Special phase building helps mitigate this problem, but some groups don’t like special phase building.

AbeI agree with unlimited mode. I also think it would be interesting to eliminate certain cards, e.g. VP cards or somehow adjust the proportion of the stack. It would make dev cards a lot more fun and it sucks (though not necessarily hurts me) when I draw 3 vp cards in a row and not a single knight or wild card so to speak.

Sun WuAgree, would be interesting to be able to adjust the number of these variables from a minimum during the set-up phase with a warning where a particular setting may not have a resolution. In the situation where cards, resources, etc. may run out have player agreement to increase a parameter or even restrict one.
