AFK / inactive Players Should Be Kicked after 2 rounds
Player will AFK and others must sit through the clock every turn. It's often vindictive. Players should be kicked and possibly docked 1 karma for such action.

John MergedIt takes 10 turns for AFK players to be kicked, add to that we wait nearly every time the 7 rolls because the player isn't there to discard their cards. This is stupid. It should be 3 turns MAX. Give them a warning on turn 2 if it's just new players waiting too long. [You should know if it's a new player just sitting there doing nothing, not even trying to trade]

kingsley tan MergedYes! Instead of leaving the game and having their karma points reduced, these sort of players stay in the game but are not in the game. The impact is much worse on the other players as we have to wait for the countdown to finish. There should be an auto kick function once an inactivity is detected for 2 rounds.
inactivity = not rolling dice, not building anything, not trading anything and eventually letting the timer end the turn -

Mute MergedHow about a reduced round time (like 10 or 20 sec on normal speed) and if the player clicked on the dice he gets the usual amount of time. An dif he missed to click the dice he gets an optional button near the clock/dice to extend his time to the normal amount.

AsteroidApart from kicking AFK hosts in the lobby, AFK players during a game should be kicked out - maybe if they do nothing for 3 turns or something. I'm playing a 2P game where the other player literally started the game and left but didn't actually leave so I have to sit through a minute each turn in order to get through this game and not get a karma penalty.

Jess MergedKick people who go afk. Occasionally when people are losing or get mad from players cutting them off or stealing cards they won't actually leave the game so they don't hurt their karma, but they just leave it running and don't play. This makes it less fun for people who are still in the game, who now have to wait for the time to run out.

Pete MergedI feel like there's basically a loophole where when a salty player wants to quit, all they have to do is leave the browser window open and walk away to avoid the karma penalty. Meanwhile it's super annoying for players still in the game to have to wait the entirety of that player's turn on every turn. If a player runs out of time without taking any action 3+ times in a row, they should be automatically kicked and replaced with a bot.

Yuvraj GuptaThis is super annoying and users are doing this more often. In a very fast game, it becomes super frustrating as it takes away the momentum of the game and limits the trade and building on the board.

bocabenI'd suggest that instead of kicking the AFK'er, to instead leave them in the game but have a bot take over for them.
The player would still be in and watching the game but have a popup of "You've been inactive for more than <however long is decided> and a bot has taken over. Click 'I'm Back' to regain control". -

shockeymoeI have never left a game where the players are all actively playing. I have left games and taken karma hits because I don't like playing with AFKs or even bots for that matter. The social aspect with respectful players is part of the pleasant experience. I think there should be a way to leave a game in protest without losing karma points.

SSloveI agree. Waiting every turn for a player who doesnt play but stay in a game for keeping karma is rly annoying and it is even unfair for us who buy games and doesnt have power when this happens to kick that player out.

MarkusThis problem is still there. Just had another of these games (game ID 2jF6). The red player didn't do anything the whole game and we had to wait for a minute all the time. In the end I got a karma penalty when I left the game for a few minutes. A player should be replaced by a bot when he doesn't do anything for let's say 5 minutes or 3 rounds.

AkhilJust had one of these games (game id rgoU). It was clear early in the game that I was going to win, and the other player (1v1) just didn't do anything for the rest of the game.

Dan MergedIt is so annoying when players, to avoid the karma penalty for quitting just go AFK and so the rest of the players have to wait for them to time out with every action.
Please create a mechanic where if a player times out say 3 times in a row, a bot takes over. -

AkhilI see comments here from about 2 years ago saying that players who are inactive for 2 minutes actually get kicked automatically (and I do remember that actually happening then once or twice back then), but this doesn't seem to be the case now. As I type this I'm playing 1v1 with a player who has been inactive since I blocked a spot they were going to build on early in the game. It's the most annoying thing ever.

ttyllDec 21, 2023: playing with an inactive-but remained online player. It is so frustrating to be waiting 1 minute every single round.... no skipping, just waiting for bot to roll their dice and discard their overloaded hand ... no one else would accept no karma leave option, so we be sitting here waiting. Just a few days ago bot took over inactive player, that was a genius idea, but that has since been removed? waste of time
