Bots do target human players... please fix this
Sitting here with 4 points, bot could easily block a higher value position with two bots at 5-6 points but it doesn't. It places it on bot-human. It's not like it's blocking a resource it would only otherwise have, or other tactical moves... with the overly aggressive robber use, it looks more and more like in trying to make the bots "hard" you programmed them to be malicious.

Anthony MergedI played with 3 bots they each rolled 7. They all stole from me. All things being equal, bots should steal from each other. Bots should only be able to steal from human once per round (round = 4 players each take a turn). If one bot steals from the human, no bots should be able to steal from the human until after the human has a chance to roll again.

player MergedThe bots target the leader generally, and if you are all at the same points they target the person with the most cards. If the leader has zero cards, and you are unlucky to be next to them, you'll get robbed even if you are a weaker player (it doesn't care if there is another player who is better than you but not positioned next to the leader). Incidentally, the bots know when you have VPs so cheat and target you. Knowing all of this, you can use it to your advantage to game the bots.

player MergedIt's also why the bots road spam bug/feature really sucks. You get robbed constantly while they (with a lower score) fill the game board with pointless roads.

Anthony MergedI just played a game. I was in last place with 5 (showing) VP and I had the least number of resource cards in hand (2). The bots had 5, 6, and 7 points showing with 4 or more resource cards in hand. I did have 2 VP cards, but the bots should not know this. I had 2 bots move the robber to my hexes and steal from me. I don't know what the code is that makes the decision to steal, but it seems very counter-intuitive to steal from the person in last place and with the fewest number of cards in hand.

player MergedThe bots do know you have VPs. And if it was the 7 point bot moving the robber, you would have been the person they'd target as a result. The bots also are fairly aggressive, moving the robber when it's not on them regardless if it's of solid strategic value.

Anthony MergedThis is clearly a bug. Out of 19 steals, the bots stole from me 12 times. Sometimes they stole from me multiple times on one turn, by rolling 7 and then playing the knight. They stole from me when I had 2 points less than the bot in first place. In one instance, I only had 2 cards and the same bot rolled 7 and then played the knight and took both of my cards when there were other bots to steal from. You need to do something about the algorithm the bots use to decide from whom to steal. It clearl

player MergedI agree the bots suck, and they cheat TBF. They prioritize placing it on the leader, so if you have the highest score you are robbed. If you have VPs, which are hidden from other players, the bots know and target you unfairly (because it real life, the other players don't know what dev cards you have in your hand).

player MergedThe bots also prioritize blocking multiple players, so if you happen to be sharing a spot with the leader who happens to not have anything to steal, they rob you instead [Even if you are in last place. It's not like it tries to rob the 2nd place player as an option if they don't share space with the leader].

player MergedAnd yes, the bots are unnecessarily aggressive, robbing multiple times in a row with little strategy other than to be extremely aggressive. BUT honestly I think the developers think they are being "competitive" when in reality the bots are extremely out of balance and unfun to play with. [They lack strategy, they trade resources with the leader, they move the robber OFF other players just because they have a knight in their hand, etc.,]

playerI wanted to give you guys the benefit of the doubt, as often it just looks like aggressive play... but it really just sucks. Perhaps you guys think this playing style if funny/fun/competitive/whatever but it's more like those win-at-all-costs jerks you never want to play with.

player MergedDoes the bot move the robber to the 6 with bots with full hands and equal scores, nope... moves it onto the lower odd position with a human player.
I might have been charitable to think it was odds or tactical quirks, but the easiest explanation is the developers have biased the bots towards human players (perhaps to make the "hard" to make up true competitive analysis/perception) -

JUAN AdminBots block and steal from the leader, and if tied, they steal from whoever have more cards. They do not target human players. Suggestion closed

MadhuThis is absolutely useless... this keeps happening every bloody time! The bots will steal everything from you irrespective of your number of points. Not to mention everytime you collect 8 items the dice will roll a 7. This is blatant cheating and staggeringly poor coding.
Oh and maybe one of the admins might want to answer something here.
