spectators with link to the game should be allowed access to the chat window
Spectators with game link should be allowed to post msg in the chat window if the host allows the particular spectator to do so...there is no fun for the spectator especially in a private room with friends playing if he aint allowed to comment

Alex Bruski MergedIf this is allowed, then those in game need to have the ability to block them.

HI disagree this can also be a source of distraction for other players. Unless there is a way for them to hide this messages.

bjakiI think this is a good idea. But it really has to be restricted to people who have the link (maybe there should be an open and a private link?) and the actual players need to have the option to mute observers completely.

JohnSo then what do you do about spectators spoiling the game by discussing potential plays?

Gredrick MergedPlease, you must enable the chat when someone is a spectator so all the spectators could talk and discuss moves from the players. Only the spectators can see that chat and no one else, it wont interrupt the players chat

CaetiriActually, my recommendation on this is that spectators can *see* the chat, since table talk is so integral to the game.
I do also like the idea of a separate spectator chat.
