Have a featured broadcast of the highest rated game going on at the moment. Allows for easy, shared spectating experience.

Goals:
-create a more spectator oriented expierence
-community building through shared spectating
-getting the best players more well known
-high quality alternative to playing
-create a way for newer players to get exposed to a more competitive approach to the game

Additional nice features:
-Allow for spectator chat (hidden from players) as well so more interactive.
-show relevant ranking next to username
-Betting system where you can choose who you think will win every few minutes, you dont win money but spectator ranking, the better you bet the more high skilled spectator you are, incentivizing active spectatorship and you would get recognition as a commentator

Personally, I would definitely use this feature but I'm a hardcore catan player. I hope I'm not the only one who envisions Catan being a worthwhile spectator sport.
