Add system where MMR/Rating is lost slightly over time if no games are played
I feel that players with fortunate placements should not be able to sit at the top of the ladder with low games-played, and have no incentive to play further games for fear of lowering their MMR.
Ideal leaderboard is where the top players have a higher sample of games played as it is a more accurate display of skill.
A system where MMR is lost gradually over time if no games are played is one idea, happy to hear alternatives.

BDHNinja had a good idea also to make it so you cant go above a certain MMR out of placements, which may be an easier to implement solution

FromperWith seasons only 2 weeks long right now, I don't know if this is necessary. But it sounds like seasons will be getting longer soon. Maybe just have people removed from the leaderboard display (without changing their MMR) if they haven't played in a certain period of time. ie You don't show up on the list if you haven't played in over a week or two. But your MMR is still retained, so if you come back and play, that's still your starting point for new rankings.

Kama MergedThe leaderboard is there to showcase the best Catan players in the world. It has been a few weeks into this new season and it bums me out that the number 1 and 2 players in the world only have 10 games played..to me I would like to see some reward to players that continue playing throughout the season and or decay of MMR for players that don't continue playing on that account during the season ... players can make new accounts if they start losing on the initial ten placement games, and that makes it no fun to really see who the best players are. The season is long and I think each week the minimum games played should also increase to. Thank you.
