Chat bug: words get scrambled and appear out of order

When I chat, my words get scrambled and appear out of order. It only happens when I use spaces or punctuation.

I think maybe because I have a Pixel 4? I haven't seen anyone else have this problem.

The problem is, when clicking on the keyboard, it registers as click in the chat box and moves the cursor to a different location. https://prnt.sc/w8uayy
